SECOND CONDITIONAL

SECOND CONDITIONAL The second conditional is a type of conditional that is used to talk about events that are unlikely to happen in the future. For situations that the speaker considers unlikely to happen in the future. If I were an astronaut, I would travel to the Moon. If I were an astronaut, I would go to the moon. this image we see how it is structured Second conditional: The order of the two sentences that make up the structure of the conditional can be changed. If we start with the If condition, we will separate them by a comma. If we start with the sentence that expresses the result, it is not necessary to put the comma. If  I  ate  less ,  I  would  lose weight. I  would  lose weight  if  I  ate  less. How is the second conditional used? For situations that the speaker considers unlikely to happen in the future. Controversial issues

Abortion. The abortion debate has long been one of the most controversial topics in the United States. It centers on a fundamental disagreement over the question of bodily autonomy, as expressed through a person's right to terminate a pregnancy. Abortion became legal in every state following the landmark 1973 Supreme Court case of Roe v. Wade. Every state has at least one abortion clinic, and in 2017, 18% of pregnancies ended in abortion. The debate typically splits into two common viewpoints pro-choice and pro-life which both wrangle with religious, moral, and philosophical beliefs. The pro-life perspective argues that life begins at the moment of conception, and therefore abortion is equivalent to murder. It is seen as an act of violence that can have physical, emotional, and psychological repercussions, even if the pregnancy resulted from rape or incest. Pro-life supporters believe that government intervention to prevent abortions is justified. In my opinion, everyone is free ...

UNREAL CONDITIONAL PAST.

UNREAL CONDITIONAL PAST. We talk about Past Unreal Conditional when we refer to hypothetical actions that we would have done in the past. Thus, the condition and the result are unreal. These sentences are used when describing situations that never happened. Example: If he had died young, he wouldn´t have had children (But he didn´t die young, so he had children). If I hadn't eaten too much, I wouldn't have had a stomachache.      As we have seen in the present unreal conditional, the If Clause presents the unreal conditional, while the Result Clause presents the unreal result of the condition. Use the past perfect in the If Clause. Use Would Have + Past Participle in the Result Clause.  If I had become a major in Medicine, I would have worked in a successful hospital.  If Luisa had gone with us, she would have spent a great time. If in case the result is not very certain to occur, then use Might have or Could have in the result clause thus expressing poss...

TRADITIONS CLASS!

TRADITIONS CLASS  Traditions can be customs, uses, patterns of coexistence or considerations around the religious, legal, cultural, etc. In all these cases, however, it is an inheritable mental model, that is, a paradigm that is preserved over time through its repetition. Therefore, when we talk about something or someone being traditional or traditionalist, we mean that they adhere to or value the customary, inherited way of doing things. In addition, traditions are part of the identity of societies, that is, of the patterns and beliefs that make up the idiosyncrasy or way of being of the peoples. There are unique traditions, specific to a society, and also others shared by peoples who have a common origin or who share historical and cultural characteristics. Thus, one can speak of national traditions, such as German traditions, but also Hispanic traditions, to cite an example, or Christian, Jewish or Muslim traditions. Tradition and custom Traditions and customs are some of...
